Discover Your Past Lives With A Self Guided Past Life Regression Session

Have you ever wondered who you may have once been? The kind of lives you may have led? Why you feel you have a special bond with someone you have only just met? Why does this period in history or place seem so familiar to you? If you have been asking yourself these questions, you may wish to try exploring your past lives by using this simple self hypnosis guided meditation.

Before you begin, do think careful if you are happy to really discover who you are, we have all done things in the past that would horrify us now, so please be certain that you are ready to face whatever comes up.

Below is a guided meditation script for you to follow, you could either ask a friend to read it out for you, or you could record it yourself to play back when you are ready.

Preparation is most important, so ensure that the room you are using is warm and comfortable, soft lighting is more relaxing, you could also play some meditation style music, as long as it is non vocal. Turn off all mobile/cell phones, and make sure that you won’t be disturbed. At no time will you be so deeply under that you will be unable to “come round” should there be an emergency, your conscious mind is still very much active and watching out for you.

Find somewhere to comfortable to lie down, this could be your bed or couch.

  • I want you to concentrate on your breathing, long slow deep breaths, feel your body relax a little more each time you breathe out. Feel your body sinking further into the bed or couch, gentle steady rhythmic breaths. If any thoughts pop into your mind, do not engage them; just allow them to pass by.

  • Now I want you look inside your forehead as if you were looking at screen and see the word RELAX. Concentrate on the word, relax, and feel all the muscles in your face loosen and relax, feel all the tension ebbing away.

  • Feel this relaxation flowing down your neck and shoulders, all the stress flowing out of you. If you come across any particularly stubborn areas just breathe into the tension and as you breathe out feel the muscles relaxing 

  • You are feeling beautifully calm and relaxed, now feel this beautiful relaxing feeling flowing down either side of your spine, your chest and stomach, pelvic area, down to your thighs, knees, calves and shins, onto your ankles and feet. Feel all the tension draining from your body and out through your feet. Now move back up to your shoulders and feel it flowing down your arms, wrists and out of your hands.

  • Now you are beautifully calm and relaxed, calm and relaxed, and from now on each time your hear the words calm and relaxed you will drift deeper and deeper into this beautiful relaxing feeling. Every time you hear the words calm and relaxed you will drift deeper and deeper.
  • I now want you to imagine that you are standing in a beautiful garden, it is warm and sunny with just a hint of a breeze, and you can hear the birds singing, the insects humming and the breeze rustling the leaves all around you. The butterflies dance over the tops of the flowers and you can hear water trickling from a small fountain nearby. You can smell the beautiful scent of freshly cut grass and the delicate perfume of the flowers.
  • Take your time walking around this beautiful garden engaging all your senses fully.
  • In front of you are some steps leading down to lower level in the garden, I will ask you to walk slowly down these steps in a moment.
  • With each step you take you will feel even more calm and relaxed, with each step you take you will feel even more calm and relaxed. As you walk down these steps I will count each one down from 10 – 0
  • Now make your way down the steps 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6, getting calmer and calmer, 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 -0.
  • You are now in an even more beautiful part of the garden and over to your right is a comfortable reclining garden chair.
  • Make your way over to the chair and make yourself comfortable, as you settle, I want you to feel the warmth of the sun on your face, feel yourself drifting deeper and deeper, drifting deeper and deeper.
  • This is the most beautiful feeling of relaxation, the most beautiful feeling of relaxation and calmness.
  • Now I want you to slowly stand up, knowing that at anytime you can return to this place of safety.
  • Walk a little way ahead and you will see a path stretching out before you, on one side you will see a row of trees stretching far out into the distance and on the other side you will see a high wall . Along this wall are many many doors, all different colours and styles. Each door represents a year of your life. Above each door is a number, showing the year.
  • Now I want you to make your way along the path, you are now travelling back in time, watch the numbers change as you walk down the path, going further and further back in time. Go past the 90’s, the 80’s etc. onto the year you were born and then go further back.
  • Now I want you to look for a door that really stands out to you, that feels significant to you. Take as much time as you need until you feel yourself drawn to a special door, a door that holds a past life.
  • Once you have found a door, look above it and see what number it is, what year you are about to enter.
  • Now I want you to enter through this door, closing it firmly behind you, but always knowing that it will be there ready for you when it is time to return.
  • Take a deep breath, look down and take a look at your feet, describe what you are wearing, slowly work your way up your body taking in each garment you are wearing.  Feel yourself in your new body, are you male or female? Are you old or young? Do you feel fit, strong and healthy or do you feel weak, sickly or ill? Just allow these answers to drift up from your subconscious, don’t fight it or question it. What is your name? How old are you?
  • Now look around you, are you outside or inside? What can you see going on around you? What is the climate like? Are you alone or is someone with you?  What can hear? How do you feel?  What are you doing here? What country are you in? If at any time anything you are experiencing becomes too intense for you, feel yourself float up above the situation, watch it as if you were watching a movie from a place of safety.
  • Allow these images to fade from your mind and move forward in time to when an important event is happening, something that is relevant for you to know now.
  • Who are you with? What is happening? Is the person you are with someone that you know from other lifetimes? Have you reincarnated with this person in previous lifetimes, or in recent ones, including your present one? Just allow the answers to spring up from your subconscious mind. Look deep into their eyes; do they feel like someone you are familiar with? Just allow their name to pop into your mind. How does being with this person make you feel? What is their relationship to you?
  • Do they have a special message that is relevant to you now?
  • When you feel that you have explored enough, feel yourself withdraw from the situation, turn around and see the door behind you. Open the door and step back onto the path way, closing the door firmly behind you.
  • Make your way back up the path in the direction of the chair and the steps. As you walk along the path see all the numbers above the doors counting upwards this time, from the year you are in back up to the present year.  Know that the calmness and relaxation you have experienced today will always be there for you, just think of the garden and you will feel peaceful.
  • Now it is always important to return the way we have come so I want you to move towards the steps. I will count you back up again. 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 mind and body slowly returning to normal now, 6 – 7 – 8 – 9 – 10 mind and body fully refreshed and returned to normality.
  • Open your eyes and allow yourself to come to properly, have a drink of water and if you haven’t recorded your session write as much down of it as you can remember.

Don’t be disheartened if you didn’t experience very much, it is like exercising a muscle, it takes time to learn to relax and be open enough. If you got nothing then it could be because it just isn’t the right time for you to access this kind of information. Leave it a while and try again another time.

I hope you have enjoyed this session, it is just a very basic one, and not as in-depth as one led by a professional therapist, but it may give you a beginning, a starting point that will allow you to explore further. I know it really helped me while I was training. There are also many books and CD’s available with other guided meditations you could also try.

Past Life Regression – A Step Back In Time

There are many misconceptions surrounding past life therapy and hypnotherapy in general. Hypnotherapy is not to be confused with stage hypnotism. As its name suggests it is a therapy brought about by using hypnosis. The aim isn’t to make people foolishly act out of character but to gently ease your way into their subconscious mind to;

  • Access the root cause of phobias, illnesses not responding to conventional treatment,
  • To help overcome addictions to drugs, alcohol or smoking and also to relive events from our past. Sometimes we bury things so deeply that we can’t consciously remember them, this could be a near drowning accident in the bathtub as an infant which later manifests itself as a fear of water and of swimming in later years.
Occasionally however, we have to go a little further back in time, in fact to another time entirely, a previous lifetime to discover where it all began.

The Facts

What to expect from a past life regression session

During hypnosis you are gently led into a light trance, similar to that you would experience while daydreaming. This is slowly deepened to meditation level. At this point you are asked to visualise a “safe place”, this can vary from person to person. Some like to imagine a beautiful garden, others a secluded beach. This is a midway point and from here you are taken more deeply under, but always knowing that should you encounter anything that may disturb you, you can always return to this place of safety. It is also to this point we return to after the regression to allow time for the new information to be integrated into the conscious mind and also into this lifetime.

At no time are you so deeply under that you wouldn’t hear the phone ringing, or someone knocking at the door, in fact quite often you will experience things on two levels, having one foot in this lifetime and one in a previous one.

Many approach past life regression for a specific reason, whether this is to get to the root cause of a phobia, or a maybe persistent complaint that refuses to clear up despite the best efforts of medical intervention, often termed as psychosomatic. Others have recurring dreams or flashbacks to another place and time and wish to explore deeper, maybe a fascination for a particular period or event in history. Some feel a particularly strong bond with another person, a feeling that they have always known each other even though they may have only just met this time around. While some are just in it for curiosity. All these are valid reasons, but before deciding to take the next step, it is wise to think through all the possible things you may encounter, even the type of person you may have been.

Could you cope with the knowledge that you may have murdered, lied, cheated and bullied or tortured others, and also on the other side of the coin, any of these things may have also happened to you. Once you open this Pandora’s Book of memories there is no putting the lid back on those new memories!
Step back in time

Everyone experiences their regression differently, some people are very fortunate and are very gifted at visualising, and they see and hear everything in bright vivid detail. For others they may; see only, hear only, or just “sense” what is happening around them.

Some people are very in the “thick of it” and experience everything in real time; while others prefer to dissociate themselves and feel that they are sat back watching a movie unfold before them.

At anytime during your regression, you have the ability to “step out” of what is happening if things are becoming too intense for you to cope with. You can float above, or sit back and watch what is happening without experiencing painful emotions.

Sometimes people will experience just one lifetime, while others will leap frog through several, this is quite common if tracking a phobia, as it can reoccur in many lifetimes and it is important to track it back to its origin.

When the regression is over, you will be guided gently out of the session. It is very important to “close down” properly or you may feel disorientated and ungrounded afterwards.
 It is also important to discuss your findings and to integrate them into your present lifetime. We must always remember that no matter what happened, it is over and can no longer have any influence on us. Everything must be seen in its proper context.

 Quite often we may know someone in this lifetime that we had a wonderful relationship with in another lifetime. Sometimes these “reunions” can be wonderful and some couples do pick up where they left off, others try to but it doesn’t work out. Everything that happens to us happens for a reason, even down to the people we encounter day to day. Like relationships we may have enjoyed in this lifetime that have run their natural course and cannot be recaptured, the same is true for past lives. Sometimes we are put together karmically for a specific reason and when that goal has been achieved or that karmic debt has been paid, both parties are free to go their separate ways.

There are many books, scripts and CD’s available if you wish to attempt to regress yourself. I do advise a period of contemplation before you begin of what you may discover bout yourself. Also you may find it will improve your experience if you spend some time before hand working through some basic visualisation exercises. This will sharpen all your senses while you are under. Meditation is excellent too, as you will find it much easier to drop yourself under.

When it is over don’t forget to write everything down as soon as possible. It is amazing that what was so vivid and life like can so quickly fade from the memory!

What to expect afterwards

Afterwards you may experience vivid dreams, day dreams or flashbacks, all of these are perfectly natural and it is just your conscious mind sifting through all the new information. You may feel very emotional, teary or unable to associate yourself fully with this lifetime. Allow yourself to time to heal naturally, these emotions are surfacing for an important reason, and they need to be experienced, worked through and laid to rest gently. When we suppress these things, we only store up problems for the future, not only in this lifetime but in future ones too. If you have someone who you can discuss this with you may find that helpful.

One more thing, drink plenty of water afterwards, this cleanses and rebalances the mind, body and spirit. Spend time near large bodies of water; oceans, lakes, waterfalls and enjoy long soaks on the tub.

Nurturing Your Inner Child

When we speak of looking at the world through the eyes of a child this is meant not with the naivety and vulnerability of a child, but with open minded curiosity, creativity and natural intuitiveness. It is about channelling your life experiences through a filter of self acceptance and awareness, not so that you are tainted and jaded by your experiences, but so that you are empowered by them.

Once you change the way you look at the world the world changes the way it responds to you. Everything is vibrational frequency and the energy we send out returns to us on the frequency we are operating from. It is like tuning a radio, if you are searching on the wrong frequency you will never find the station you are looking for.

When we consciously choose to work with our inner child aspect, it helps to restore this creativeness, the childlike curiosity and enthusiasm that you now need to channel into your adult life. As we become world weary from one bad experience after another, destructive relationships, stressful working conditions, we tend to view life in a more cynical manner through the filters of these negative experiences, expecting more of the same.  

We feel that things will always be the same that we will always be the same, but that is not the case. We truly hold our future in the very next decision we choose to make, beginning with small ones and as our confidence grows then we become bolder until we have the courage to really reach out and grasp the future we want. To begin with we need to get in touch with our wise inner child and work at soul level to get us back on track to our true spiritual path for this optimum health and wellbeing.

We can do this by remembering what was important to us back as a child, our hopes and dreams, our plans for the future. Now I am never going to be physically able to do some of the things I wanted to do as a child, and some I wouldn’t want to do now! But there are other ways of becoming involved and enjoying aspects of it.

As a child we are encouraged to try new things all the time, something we don’t do as much as an adult. So be brave and try a class in something you have always fancied knowing more about, even begin by reading a book about it. Do something that feeds your soul and brings joy into your life. You may not be able to change your whole life overnight but you can change a small part of it a little at a time.

If your childhood was anything like mine I was rarely indoors, something else we neglect as an adult in this technology filled world. So in your free time put your tablet and phone down for a while and get out and meet people face to face, spend some time in nature. The internet is a wonderful tool for learning more about the world and chatting to people you wouldn’t usually have the opportunity to, but it can also become a prison of your own making.

There is no greater teacher than a young child, so spend quality time with your own children, your nieces, nephews, grandchildren and those of your friends. Then you really will view the world through the eyes of a child.

Spiritual Commitment

I recently had a lady get in touch with me because she was experiencing severe negative energy attacks. It turned out she had been experimenting with many different spiritual practices, dipping in and out and often trying many very advanced techniques without ever taking the time to work through the basic fundamentals of spiritual development or that particular belief system or spiritual/magickal practice. 

Without working through  protection, opening, centring, closing down again afterwards and grounding/breaking state etc  we leave ourselves wide open to attack from low level and in some case high level negative attacks, astral leakage, lack of ‘presence’ in the physical world to name but a few.

Myself and several other concerned spiritual teachers have been discussing if too much information is too readily available now. 

Through history there have always been magickal orders where an initiate is taken through a particular system step by step never going beyond what they are able to manage or what is beyond their abilities in an energetic sense as well as emotionally and mentally. The information closely protected and only metered out with caution, respect and guidance. 

Now anyone can walk into a book shop or go online and order or download the most high level powerful magickal information and work through it in any way that they please.

This can be wonderful for those who don’t live near a spiritual teacher or may live in a family or communality which doesn’t support their beliefs, but it also has a downside. Information on websites can be misleading and dangerous if the one writing it is inexperienced themselves or if the information is taken out of context. 

Be discerning in what you read, check and compare with other sources and if it doesn’t feel right, truly resonate with you no matter what they may proclaim then walk away.

I among other practitioners are hearing some terrible stories resulting from those who dabble in and then walk away from various spiritual practices whenever they wish, or when they don’t get the results they want or were promised, often  leaving themselves wide open energetically in the process. Spiritual development is something which needs serious commitment and application. 

No one disputes that anyone should be free to study whatever they wish I only urge caution, and if it is a particular path you feel drawn to seek outside guidance from someone experienced. 

If it is a magickal course you are following in a book, please work through it step by step no matter how basic or tedious the early exercises may appear to be they are there for a reason to help you build a safe working foundation. 

Don’t be disheartened if you don’t see results overnight, like any seed planted it needs regular care and nurturing to grow, and blossom.

Taking Pride In Your Accomplishments

Reading how others have overcome adversity in their lives, even when the odds seem so stacked against them and come out on top inspires me and gives me the strength to carry on when days seem dark and obstacles appear insurmountable.

When times are challenging it is hard to remember how much we can achieve when we are firing on all cylinders. Too often we beat ourselves up, never once stopping to take stock of our lives and look back at all the amazing things we have achieved in our lives. 

Instead of feeling powerless and as if the whole world is against us we can look back on those really dire times, when everything seemed so bleak and impossible and realise that YES we did make it, we are still standing here today in spite of everything. After all it’s not in the falling down, but in the getting back up that counts, and each time we do this it only serves to make us stronger still.

I read of a businessman who had earned billions, lost it all then gained it back again. He said that the only thing that got him through those dark days was looking at his accomplishments list. This list reminded him of all his achievements and of where his strengths lay.

I thought that this would be a great thing to do and once I began I found it really helped to keep me on track. It’s not about boosting your ego but more like looking at your life through the lens of success and celebrating the high points of your life with sincere gratitude for all the good that has come your way. Once we can do this we begin to experience life at a whole new vibrational frequency which will attract even more of the good stuff to us.

Vibrationally speaking like always attracts like, which is why when your day begins on a bad note and that’s all you focus on things soon spiral out of control from one upset to another. People, who think of themselves as lucky, vibrate at that frequency and find that no matter what is happening things always have a miraculous way of turning out fine.

Try it today, write down all the things that you have done that you are proud of, it doesn't matter how small they may be, if they rocked your world then they deserve a place on your list!

Here are some of mine:

1.Bringing into the world and raising 3 healthy, fantastic children who amaze me everyday at the sheer joy, wisdom, and unconditional love they radiate

2.Combining my abilities and experiences and using them as the foundation to start my own business

3.Going back into education and discovering a real passion for learning, passing exams and earning my diplomas.

4.The sheer joy of being able to help make a difference in someone else’s life because of either my own experiences or because of something I have learned through my studies

See it’s not that difficult is it? So now I challenge you to do the same, take a pen and pad or open a new file on your computer and write down all those fantastic things that make you who you are!

Once you have finished your list, print it out and keep it somewhere where you can see it. Read through it at least once a week. 

In spite of what life throws at you, the challenges, failures, disappointments, or hardships you may be facing right now, deep inside is a bright, wise, committed, and hard-working soul who has a track record of success!

Choosing the Right Crystal for Healing

The first step to working with crystals for healing, is deciding which ones to use. There are several ways to discover this. The best, easiest and most reliable of these is by simply tapping into your own natural instincts. This may be ‘seeing', ‘hearing' the crystal intuitively or by tuning into the person you are healing and being guided to what they need to heal and rebalance them. 

You may see a colour surrounding that person. You can then consult a crystal book and look at various crystals of that same colour, and make your choice from one of those. Or you can of course, providing you know the ailment you are treating also look that up in a crystal book and it will give you several different ones to choose from. If I ever get a little stuck I work from The Crystal Bible. If you have a basic crystal set of the types most often used you can usually find one to fit the purpose. Sometimes you just find your hand guided to the right crystal as you think about that person.

Tapping into your instincts is easier than first appears and something we all do quite naturally without ever really thinking. But by consciously directing our thoughts, going within and bringing that person close to us in our minds eye, tuning into their emotional make-up we will know instinctively just what is needed. As we all receive answers in different ways, we must be open to what we are presented with. Your answer could come in the form of hearing the name of the crystal to use, seeing it in your mind’s eye, or even by seeing a particular colour surrounding the image of the person.

If you have a problem visualising, you can also work from a photograph of them or an item belonging to them, either of these strengthens the connection between you both.

If you are unable to pick anything up from the person by tuning into them, then a clear quartz crystal can be used in the place of any others. Also as explained above, providing you know what the problem is you can look their ailments up in a crystal book and choose one suitable for the job. If you are able to pick up a colour while tuned into them you can also choose any crystal of the same colour from lists found in crystal books, this is especially true in chakra healing.

I like to work to the principle of ‘blueprint for perfect health, which was provided for them at their conception' this is important as otherwise you are imposing your (albeit well meaning) will over what may be Karmic lessons they need to face and conquer by themselves. You would then be in fact infringing on their free will and free choice. This is something none of us have the right to do. Also as we may not know the full extent of the illness or the injury done to the body as a result of it, we may cure the illness itself but the damage already done to the body may remain and cause further imbalance.

Healing can be made more effective by synergistically combining the energies of both crystals and aromatherapy oils. You can do this by choosing a crystal that you feel would be of the most benefit to the person you are treating, using the methods mentioned above and anointing it with essential oils. There are a few that can be used for this, namely Lavender, Rose or Sandalwood.

The oil you wish to use needs to be prepared and energized first. This is done by first choosing a small bottle with a neck that is wide enough to insert a small thin crystal into, for example Amethyst. In addition to this you will also need a 100ml bottle; dark ones are best as this extend the life of your oil blend. Add to this bottle your piece of Amethyst and 5ml of either Lavender oil, and then top this up with a base oil.

There are many to choose from but do take care for those with allergies as some are derived from nuts. This oil blend should now be left to stand overnight, then it can be transferred into the smaller bottle to which another small piece of Amethyst has been added. You now have a potent oil blend to anoint your chosen crystal with when you want to send healing to that particular person.

Distance healing energy can be sent by using the specially prepared oil blend mentioned above and anointing the chosen crystal with this. This is then placed somewhere close by to where you plan on working.

When you are ready to send healing either place your hand on the crystal or hold it gently in your hand. Hold an image of the person in your mind, either think their name in your head or say it aloud and visualise energy streaming from the crystal you are holding to the person you are treating. This will send crystal healing energy their way each time you do it. This can be repeated as often as needed, until the person is either fully healed or you are guided to stop.

Do cleanse your crystal after each session so it doesn’t become overloaded or transfer imbalances from one client to another.

I also send distance healing by working on a basic diagram of the body, front and back, with the various chakra and energy points pencilled in. I hold my pendulum over the image and move it over each of the energy points to pick up on specific areas that need treating. Beginning at the top (crown chakra) I hold a crystal wand over each energy point and visualise it removing any negativity, illnesses present or blockages. After I have done this I go back and check how each energy point is working with my pendulum. 

When you have finished using the crystal for healing it needs to be cleared in the method you would usually use and if oil has been used it also needs to be physically washed in warm soapy water.

Healing should always be carried out in a gentle thoughtful manner. There should be no pain experienced, if this does happens it is because the healer is mishandling the points. Care should always be taken to monitor everything you do to your client and if pain is experienced it should be requested that it is removed as soon as it appears. Energy should be allowed to flow smoothly and freely, gently removing each and every blockage.

How To See Auras

A Little About The Auric field
The Aura, also known as the Auric field is made up of a number of separate fields that overlay each other. Auras surround every living thing, from people and animals to plants, trees, and crystals. These different layers are also called light bodies.

The first light body is the Etheric body, this one is closest to our physical body and it also carries the blueprint for our bodies and our organs. It the Etheric body falls out of harmony this will transfer to and manifest itself in ailments and illness in the physical body. 

The next layer is the emotional light body. It is through the emotional body that we interact with others, and their moods and feelings. This light body is less tangible than the Etheric which makes it easier to interact with and rebalance using crystals. 

The next layer is the Mental light body. It is in this area that we structure our outlook and our personal views on our perception of reality and our belief systems. 

In addition to these we have more subtle light bodies where we hold our deep spiritual goals and aspirations, and our ultimate connection to the source of universal energy.

It is with our growing awareness of the workings of the Auric Field that we are able to consciously interact with the universe. Through meditation and spiritual development exercises we can work on the Aura in a very subtle way to strengthen our energy fields.

When we walk into a room where a dramatic event has taken place such as a serious argument we sense this through our emotional light body. We have all heard such expressions as;

 “You can cut the atmosphere with a knife”
 “You can feel the love in a room”

In the Auric Field we experience all things, positive and negative. A strong Auric field is created by being healthy and well balanced, mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally. 

Anyone with a weak Auric Field will be more susceptible to ill health and poor wellbeing. The stronger we can make ourselves the better we can shield ourselves from negative energy and attacks. 

A weak Aura is an open invitation to  negativity. This can manifest itself as depression and feelings of helplessness, worthlessness and an inability to concentrate. 

Someone with a strong Auric Field will be in a positive frame of mind and in control of their emotions and will have a proactive outlook on life.

With a little training it is possible to see Auras. Many are unaware that at a subtle level they can actually sense Auras around others quite naturally. 

You only have to think of when someone has said that a certain colour really suits you; they are picking up on your Aura colours without even being aware of it. They are in fact tuning into how your aura interacts and harmonises with certain colours.This goes more deeply than a certain colour suiting your hair, eye or skin tone.

We often say some one is ‘feeling blue’, is in a ‘black or dark mood’, ‘seeing red’, is ‘green with envy’ when sensing negative emotions, or someone is described as ‘in the pink’ having a ‘golden touch’ or simply ‘radiant’ or ‘glowing’ when they are happy and life is going well; these are other ways we perceive auras. With time, patience and practice it is possible to hone your natural ability to such a degree that you can see auras clearly.

There are now cameras available to accurately capture an image of the aura, there are often stands offering this service at some Mind, Body & Spirit Fairs.  I had mine taken a few years ago at one in Manchester.

An Exercise To See Auras

Ask your subject to stand 18 inches away from you.  For best results you want them to be in natural light, preferable against a wall or background  that is white or light coloured.

Now look past them focussing on the wall behind them. Try to disengage your mind as if you were daydreaming, clear your mind and relax. Anyone who can see the Magic Eye style pictures will pick this up very quickly. 

The first thing that you will notice is the etheric body. This will look like a silvery light emanating from the body, sometimes it will look like little wisps of smoke drifting from the body about ¼ to ½ an inch from the physical body. 

In time you will see colours appearing as your perceptions open to the other light bodies. The colours will change according to the person’s health and emotional state. Don't worry if you can't see it at first. Like everything we do in life, it takes practice.

Another thing you can do is ask your subject to breathe deeply while reciting the alphabet. With each breath they take you will see the etheric body move. You can also ask them to move from side to side; as they do this you should notice the etheric body move as well.

Most importantly relax and have fun with this exercise, don’t become fixated on seeing auras, it’s one of those things that the harder you try to force it the less likely it is to happen.

Basic Aura Exercise

Learn to sense, feel, and see your aura with this basic exercise.

Hold your hands palms facing each other and bring them slowly closer together, but not touching. As you bring your palms closer, you will become aware of a feeling of resistance, it feels very like the feeling when you bring two magnets with opposing poles together, they each repel the other. As soon as you feel this resistance in between your hands, you have just felt your own energy field!

Now try rubbing your hands together very briskly and now try the exercise again. This time the energy should be even stronger.

If you still your mind and bring your hands over plants, trees, or crystals you will feel the same pull of energy, as your energy field interacts with that of another life form. 

If you hold your hands in front of a dark background ( if you turn your monitor screen off so you just have a black screen, or your TV when turned off is a good surface for this too) with a low light behind you, you should with a little practise be able to see your own energy field. 

At first this will appear as little wisps of silvery coloured smoke streaming from your finger tips. In time you may be able to see individual colours too. 

It can also be seen against a clear bright blue sky, early morning is best for this before the sun becomes to dazzling
